Four stages, one standard. Here is exactly what happens to your vehicle once it is with us.

Damage assessment
Panels are removed and the full extent of the damage is recorded — including the hidden structural damage an estimate from photographs can miss.

Structural repair
Precision metalwork brings the shell back to manufacturer dimensions, with damaged sections replaced and seams sealed and protected.

Primed & painted
The repair is prepped, primed and masked, then sprayed in our booth using paint mixed to your vehicle's own code and blended into adjacent panels.

Finished to perfection
Refitted, polished, quality checked and washed. Back on the road looking as good as new — and handed back on the day we promised.

VRS Bodyshop is an independent, BSI accredited accident repair centre based on Cliffside Industrial Estate in Grays. We are not a volume repair chain — every vehicle is looked after by the same team from booking in to hand back, which is why our work stands up to close inspection in daylight.
We repair everything from everyday runarounds to prestige and electric vehicles, and we are equally comfortable with a private cash job or a full insurance claim. If you would rather not deal with your insurer, we will do it for you.

Do I have to use the repairer my insurance company recommends?
No. In the UK you have the right to choose where your vehicle is repaired. Tell your insurer you would like the work carried out at VRS Bodyshop and we will deal with them directly on your behalf.
Do you give free estimates?
Yes. Bring the vehicle to our Grays workshop, or send us clear photographs of the damage, and we will provide a free, no-obligation estimate.
How long will my repair take?
A scuffed bumper or small panel repair is often turned around in one to three days. Larger accident damage involving parts and structural work typically takes five to ten working days. We confirm a realistic timescale before work starts and keep you updated.
Will the new paint match the rest of my car?
Yes. We colour match to your vehicle's own paint code, mix the paint in house, and blend into adjacent panels so the repair is invisible — then bake it in our spray booth for a durable finish.
